Supported Clicker Systems

In an effort to streamline clicker usage on campus, FSU offers the following options to instructors:

• Standard clicker solution: i>clicker (5 response options)
  
  In a pilot study, i>clicker was found to be user-friendly and very easy to implement. This is the preferred solution for all FSU instructors who wish to use an audience response system in their classes. Several FSU departments, including Biology, Sociology, and Physics, recommend i>clicker as the department standard clicker technology.
  
  
• Advanced clicker solution: TurningPoint ResponseCard NXT (alphanumeric response options)
  
  This system was identified as a stable alternative for instructors who require more functionality than is available with the standard solution. The TurningPoint ResponseCard NXT features a 20 key response pad with LCD screen and offers the most advanced response technology. Please be advised that the use of advanced features may require additional preparation time and training.
  
  NOTE: Turning Technologies offers three different clickers. In order to minimize the number of clickers used on the FSU campus, instructors who choose the advanced option should tell their students to purchase only the ResponseCard NXT clicker, not one of the other, less expensive models because these do not support advanced features.
