We provide course exam scanning services at the Scholar's Commons located in the Strozier Library for Florida State faculty and staff.
Make sure that all scan forms are facing the same direction. If dropping off multiple groups of answer sheets and keys, make sure you properly divide sections with rubber bands, paper/binder clips, and or folders. Please refer to our Best Practices section for further information on making an answer key.
CAT staff makes routine runs Monday-Friday at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm during the semester.
Expected turnaround time is 24 hours. You will receive an e-mail confirmation when your processed exams are ready to be picked up from the library.
Please note that our library services are limited during finals week due to increased volume. Additionally, the drop box is not serviced between semesters. Please observe the signs and call us if you have any questions.
Library receipts are available on a clipboard next to our black drop box. Fill out the receipt (example shown below) and retain the bottom portion of the form as you will need it for pick-up. Please visit our Analysis & Reporting section to read more about the report options that we offer. A sample report binder is also available by our drop box for your convenience.
Once you have filled out the receipt, place the top portion of the receipt and exam materials into one of the red folders located in the rack on top of the drop box. Remember to retain the bottom portion of the receipt - you will need it to pick up the results. After all exam items are placed in the red folder put the folder inside the drop box. Please note: Only CAT staff has access to the drop box for increased security.
When you have received an e-mail notification you may pick up your exams. Make sure that you bring the bottom portion of the library receipt with you when picking up your exams. Show the receipt or your photo ID to the person at the front desk at the Scholar's Commons to have your exams released to you. Please note that for security purposes exams will not be returned to someone who is not listed on the job or does not have the bottom portion of the receipt from that order.
